ME

“What we have in common is more important than what divides us.”
- Bill Clinton, Harvard Class Day Address 2007

I am a technology junkie who found my true self at travel technology start-up Everbread. Before immersing in the world of GDSs, AVL, COS, POS, WTFs and all  the three-letter abbreviations of this crazy industry, I was slaving away as a consultant in NYC and LON (Opera Solutions), where, put in pure consultese, I worked on a number of Fortune 500 companies, improving their bottom line.

In all seriousness, I did some good work for a telco company, a top alimunium provider, and even a bathroom fixtures manufacturer among the typical suspects of banks, retailers, and others. I guess I learned how to crunch numbers in excel and do power point slides to the point where it mattered to me whether the bullet point was 80% dark blue and whether I can trigger a picture change in a cell through vlookups (by the way — possible).

Naturally, I was all prepared for my professional life with my B.A. in Government from 02138, Class of 2007, but nevertheless I was (and still am) really proud of my thesis work on the UN and Humanitarian Interventions. I enjoyed reading Kant, Plato, Mill and Rawls, and I honestly hated “Dinosaurs and their relatives”, but science, art, and overall, education, require a bit of sacrifice.

All in all, I have had an amazing trip so far, both geographically and professionally and I love to brag about it on twitter, facebook, and other social media, so if interested, use the links on the right or just read exactly the same snapshot on about.me/ffilipov.
